My results for retrieving information on postpartum hemorrhage and simulation in PubMed , National Guideline Clearninghouse and Google yielded very varied results. PubMed gave me the most specific information for my search, the NGC nothing specific to both topics and Google an unwieldy number of results. Because my search was on pretty specific information it makes sense that PubMed with it’ s capability to narrow down the focus of a search would be most helpful.
Some other strategies would be to search for key words that apply to these topics to see if if it would yield helpful information.

Did you also find that not only did Google provide too many results, but they were also more geared towards lay persons? I think I will propbably keep Google as a last resort when it comes to searching for things (scholarly things, anyway).
